ARIANA system

The ARIANA Engineered Horizontal Lifeline System is an engineered system that can accommodate two users simultaneously on straight and curved (inside and outside curves) passages.  The ARIANA operates on 8mm stainless steel (all system components are stainless steel) cable and utilizes a unique shuttle and anchorage system. The shuttle is removable from the system at any point, and is operated (opened and closed) using one finger. The intermediate anchorages utilize PAS (Progressive Absorbing System)- they can be spaced up to 10 metres apart, and provide shock absorption for the system through deformation in the event of an impact load. Their unique design allows the system to be installed at floor level, waist level, or overhead. The design of the shuttle provides absolute hands-free operation, regardless of positioning of intermediate points. As the ARIANA is an engineered system, a detailed study of the proposed installation site is essential.
